If you're stopping at Megamart you can get a sim there.

Jan24...do you mean that you'll need a sim card that'll provide a new phone number or you're just needing phone credit for talk time?
For a sim card you'll need to go to an actual Digicel or Lime outlet depending on the phone...they have both outlets at Mega Mart in Montego Bay (bring passport for ID).
If you require phone credit, there are many small shops, grocery stores, gas stations, even Burger Kingthat'll sell you credit...you'll need to ask for the specific type, Digicel or Lime.

If you just need to add minutes you can top up online in a pinch too. I purchased a sim and a cheap phone. I add a small amount of minutes online every 3 months to keep the sim\mins active. Then when I land I'm ready to go with all of my contacts and enough minutes to make all the calls I need.
This should be obvious but make sure friends and family calling your ja number know its an international call. My brother called my ja number frequently one trip and was surprised by the bill.
