Just to keep track because time is accelerating like crazy and the details are getting fuzzy, I think I'm talking about Monday now.
On the first of my many walks, I run into two of the couples from the previous night's bar crawl. They all had a great time as well.
I hear something about an anniversary party at Canoe, so I email Patty from the room and go back to the beach. In typical Negril fashion, a few minutes later I hear the beach guy calling my name. "There's someone at the front with tickets for you". Being in full on go with the flow mode, I figure the decision whether to go to Canoe has been made for me.
We pull up there around 7:30 and there are just a few tables left. We grab one on the beach by the band stand and moments later a large group takes the last tables out there. Drinks are flowing.
I've found a new favorite drink this year, Appleton Reserve and ginger beer. They don't have the reserve and I switch to JB after a couple to minimize my trips to the bar. I sense movement by the food setup so I make my move. This is going to be an endless cluster for a few hours. They are making plates with jerk chicken and lobster and some mashed potatoes and salad. Unfortunately, the lobster has been grilled to the point where it's almost inedible. Very drunk and still hungry at this point, we decide to move on .
A great idea pops into my head, lets stop at Corner Bar and pick up some food to take back to our room. I order some fried chicken and curried conch and take in the scene while waiting. A random tourist couple on their first trip to Negril wanders in, so naturally I start up a conversation. They were just wandering around and found the place. I congratulate them on their accomplishment.
