We always leave the resort. Can't really say you've been to a country if you just stay at the hotel...lol!

Are you in a group? if not we just hop In a cab an ask how much? they should be able to get you the same back.

a little backwards - ask how much first! then hop in if the price works for you. a lot of restaurants offer free pick up and you pay your fare back to the hotel.

I do both AI and non AI and love, love, love Couples Negril...
Don't forget to try and take advantage of their inclusions (snorkel trips, catamaran trips, etc.)
Also, on days it was overcast, we would either do a trading spaces to CSA and then walk the beach or take the free Margaritaville shuttle...
No hassles and who doesn't like free...
There is a desk in the front lobby who will assist with calls to restaurants and another desk for setting up excursions.
There is also an internet café if you need to look anything up or even login into sites like this for more info...
For our usual run around town trip (stopping at 4 or 5 spots), we will charter a driver (usually a referral from here or TA).
