Unfortunately Negril is not the place to kitesurf. As windy as Negril can get it's not the right direction. You need on shore or side shore winds and most of the time the wind is off shore and gusty. Trust me I have made many attempts only to end in major frustration. The place for kiting is Falmouth and from what I'm told thats a hike for just a day. I believe there is a school and rentals there as well. If you're a kite junky like myself no distance is too far to attain the rush of kitesurfing. I'm going to be in Negril from the 11th till the end of February. If you are going to be there that time and if you want to hook up to split a taxi to there and back I'm up for that. In fact I have a post looking for some cheap transportation to do that right now cause I plan on making a few trips conditions permitting.
