Way better late than never!!!! Yes Barry always was a sharp kid. He seemed to have a good understanding of right and wrong. It was not easy for Miss Glora to manage the whole family and property but Barry really helped her. She was a great lady!!!
I think of Barry and you guys all the time. It's like we are all wired into this network of Irie Thinkers who for the most part are pretty Cool.
It is good to see Barry's smile and only wish that I could Soon Forward but too many things / responsibilities here at the moment. I check airfares all the time but even if I found a great deal My life is way too busy to escape anywhere right now.
hey_mon I heard that the road a life threw some signs and barricades at you on your Feb trip???? I hope I misunderstood what I gleaned and that all is well for you and that you had a great rip.
As we all should know things happen Universally and that sometimes being at the wrong place at the wrong time is the reason why happens...
Look around us and see the world as it is and be happy to have such positive memories of out times past or the the excitement of our next Negril / Jamaican reach!!!
hey_mon belated Happy Anniversary (28th?????)!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the photo of Barry and all the Irie Vibes too!!
John

I still love this thread, and your stories johng. I'd love to read more about your experiences in the old time JA.
Thanks TAH, I am glad to contribute from time to time. I was lucky to be introduced to Jamaica in 1975 and started exploring out from Negril in 1978. Too bad the Jamaican Railroad Company does not run from Kingston to MoBay any more. That was a beautiful ride. I had the chance to meet many fine people, both Jamaicans and foreigners who I still keep in contact with. When I visit JA now I try and split my time between Kingston, Portland Parish, Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth. One of my fondest memories was hiking to the top of Blue Mountain Peak in 1980. Such a beautiful island and people!!
