I was at the airport in Kingston at the duty free shop ready to pay for 2 jugs of Appleton when the lady asked if I had a direct flight or stopover. I was flying to JFK via Miami where I would clear customs and change planes. She warned me that even though I was buying duty free in sealed packages I would lose the bottles in Miami. She saved me $40 bucks and a huge blowout in Miami. I can only imagine the amount of booze they confiscate in those situations. Yes common sense should told me so but I totally forgot. Lucky the lady looked out for me and didn't just make the sale!!
