Private or Juta

I have normally taken a private ride from the airport to Negril. walk out of the airport, spot my driver, hop in and off we go. me and the dirver.
although this year I have been thinking that it would be fun to have a beer at the airport waiting for the bus to fill and stopping several
times for drinks and bathroom breaks. I do realize that I get to my resort much faster with the private driver, what are all the other thoughts
on this subject??? I thought it might be fun to hop on the bus with newbys and such.

how long is the ride to Negril and what IS the cost.

Private is the way to go!- check out the transportation section. lots of referred drivers there. It's really just what driver you click with. We used Gregory Peck and Steve Positive Tours. Steve Positive tours number is 372-8354. I don't have Gregory Peck's number at this moment. Normal ride is usually 1.5. When we used Steve, he stopped on our beer and pee stops at our convince.JMO

I always do a private transfer, but I thought that the Juta just would go directly to the hotels. Maybe stop for a bathroom break, but I'm pretty sure they aren't stopping for drinks like a private driver would. (I could be wrong!)

Personally, having to stop at other hotels after my flight would just be torture for me. Maybe see if others here on the board are flying in the same day & time you are and might want to share a private transfer?

Private, the Juta bus will stop, most likely at the Lollypop, but it is torture and depending on where you are staying, they could make many stops before you get to your hotel

You get what you pay for. I think JUTA is charging 25 per person for a bus ride with no stops to buy beer or just take a bathroom break. To say nothing of the personal service of a private driver.

THE BIG SAVING is about 10 bucks!

If you ride with Linston you will feel your money was well spent

So it is really not so much about saving $10 or $30 or $50, more of the adventure. and can we stop to get beers and how long might
it take to get to Negril on a juta bus.. I think it would be kinda fun to ride down with a bunch of wilds and enjoy the antics, but
maybe not is what you are saying??? I have private taxi ed many times over the years and thought this might be an exciting change.

IMO, "a bunch of wilds" are along the way are where you can find them or they find you. I just like to go at my own pace to get from MBJ to Negril. Here's how we do it. Get out of the airport, driver already has a 6 pack of Red Stripe in ride. Knock those out get more, pee, get to Negril as FAST as we can. But just roll the windows down and cruise and have a great time at your own pace. IMO
