A little help/advice for beach hotel choices

We are currently planning what will be our second trip to negril doing non all inclusive. Planning a late November trip. Appears to be a somewhat busy time and choices are appearing limited. Last year we stayed at treehouse and loved it, but seems as there is no availability. So were thinking trying either travellers or charela inn. It looks like charela has some meal inclusive options, which is nice to have. And have seen conflicting info about travellers having meal plans. Does any one have any insight into these properties that might help us make up our mind? Or any other properties in the $100/night range??

If Treehouse is booked I would recommend Charela. Great beach, great staff, great food!

Charela is ok, but there is no vibe. No beach bar. No music

I like Charela good food. Not a place to hang out.

We enjoy some people around in the afternoon, while having our afternoon cocktail, not a party, but a small gathering of people to mix or up a little. Have you looked at COco la Palm? Great place

We always stay at coco but you won't find $100 a night there in November. Charela has a nice beach (it's two properties south of Coco), so you could always stay there and make your way to different spots to mingle with people. Have you contacted Gail from Treehouse directly?

I'm shocked that Charela is falling into your $100/night budget. Their food is very good and beach is wonderful. Haven't stayed but eaten there a few times and used their beach when staying at Mirage. Travellers is very budget friendly and the staff is superb. I stayed there NYE and paid only $118 for a superior kitchenette room, low season in November would be cheaper. I don't know if they have a meal option, email to inquire. So many great places to eat, a hotel meal option isn't a concern for me, but breakfast included is nice. The beach at Travellers is smaller, but I didn't feel crowded new years day at full capacity. You're just closer to the sea which is fine by me. Travellers is more social with more lively entertainment and a great pool area. Tremendous value. I liked the location being close walking distance to town. They should have a Groupon coming out shortly, don't know if it will include November dates.

Charela is not necessarily in the $100/night budget, but liked the location, and the meals included option was to make my brother, who is coming with my sis-in-law happy. So that's why we included that choice. But any feedback or advice to steer us in a good direction/compromise is really what we are looking for. Melody Is travellers location good for walking beach and hitting restaurants/bars along the way? Looks to be quite close to the end of beach

Yes, it's right close to town, just walk the beach heading north. Stop at my faves, Yellow Bird for awesome cheap drinks and Drfters jam session Wed, Fri and Sunday 3-7, best time! Travellers has a good breakfast buffet and you eat on the patio, just a few feet from the sea Keney's Chinese food is next door which I hear is very good and cheap.
