Can't speak to the busy season, but we arrived around 11:00am on a Saturday this past November. Didn't have a problem getting through Immigration and customs. The line for Immigration was 10 minutes, at most, and there was no line at Customs.
I understand that it gets much busier after 12:00pm.
In more than 30 trips to Jamaica I've never waited more than 40 minutes to get through Immigration. Club Mobay is a very expensive option to save a few minutes. If you've got it, spend it.

We arrived on Sat 1-24 at 3pm and the line stretched back through the ramps and past the moving walkway. I've never seen it backed up that far in the past 11 years. We used Club MoBay (there was a short line for it also) and were in the van to Negril in about 30 minutes. I'd estimate that our total wait time would have easily been over 1.5 hrs. I think we'll use CMB again. FYI the departure lines were also long on 2-7-15 but moved fairly fast. About 1 hr so if you don't use CMB for departure allow extra time. FYI

We arrived at noon Saturday 31st of Jan. eight people in front of us. We beat our bags.
We are also arriving on Saturday, at 235 from Boston. I thought i read somewhere that MBJ has Kiosks now that are speeding up customs, etc? Or does only help on the way out?

I get in on a Sunday in a couple of weeks at 12:30..looks like up to a dozen flights coming in within an hour of it..doing club mobay to be safe..
We did Club Mobay for the first time this year. I am glad we did. We were to the back of the plane, plus another had come in, and we were in and out in 20 minutes. It was awesome. Next time we will be using it also when we leave Jamaica, it was jam packed and took us from walking in the front door to getting through security about 2 hours.
