That's a really good question. I did go to a "Rums of the Caribbean" tasting once at Swept Away a number of years ago and found it fascinating (and delicious).
Try the Appleton rum tour if you get a chance. It's a nice drive in the country and you can try all their rum's over and over![]()
Indecision may or may not be my problem
Aqua next to Fun Holiday used to have a ton of different rums but not sure if they are still open.
Hi Smiley. Cool thought just focusing on the special rums of Jamaica. Hope you have yummy rummy day or as many as works for you. Cool rummings.
The Appleton Estate tour is a good pick. I did a photo shoot there 3 years ago and got an inside look. Unfortunately I drove there from Treasure Beach (about a 3 hour ride) and had to sip rather than gulp. Talk about a kid in a candy shop!!!! As for me any Rum Bar that has the Appleton line is the BEST RUM BAR
PS. At the gift shop at the Estate they have some rums that I have never seen offered in any retail or duty free shops. Some really old and $$$$$$!!!!

Try the Appleton's "extra" with the black label and you may not have to look any farther. Sip it over a cube of ice like a good Kentucky Bourbon. They have other older blends that are wonderful, but very pricey.

Was drinking the Appleton Reserve on our trip a few weeks ago, lots of ice and a splash of ginger beer. Just finished a bottle of the 21 yr here, really amazing.
Doc what is the price of a 21 year stock please? How expensive can a bottle of rum be and what would give it the value? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
Don't know the 21 year old question but check the 50!!!
