    Snorkel vests

Hey boardies, do you know where we can rent snorkel vests for kids?
    Thanks for your help!

2017 was our 15th trip to Negril. Other islands we visited: Cozumel, Mexico (4 times) St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Aruba, Harbour Island, Bahamas, Anguilla, St. Maarten/St.Martin, Ambergris Caye, Belize (twice)

There are no "vest rental" shops - there is just not that much call for them. The human body tends not to sink in saltwater. But those "water wings" should work if the kids are young enough and not too embarrassed to wear them (grin).

I would ask any one of the local boat captains if you can rent vests from them. I am sure you will be able to work out a deal that fits you both! Dont be surprised if they ask about a deposit. It would make sense, tourists are known to sometimes forget to return things when the sand gravity hits...

If you take a snorkeling trip from any of the operators on the beach, the vests and snorkel gear are included should you want them. Have a great time!

In my experience the guys working the boats will go out of the way to help, someone should have one and be happy to rent it to.

Thanks guys. I really don't think they'll need them but my daughter would feel better if they had a vest. And Rob, my 14 year old grandson would probably not want to be seen with water wings, LOL.

We have had great success with belts like these that are used in water aerobics.
