Anyone have a recommendation for cars rental. Wanna go see the island a bit for two days . Looking for something cheap under 75 per day is this do able in anyone's eyes. I'm traveling solo so a Toyota yaris will even do ? Any info plz ??

why not rent in mobay if you are coming in there? you will save on the transport to and from negril that way. cheaper prices for a yaris can be found at challis (picks you up for a 2 minute drive to office near) or "atlas choice" (23 a day incl taxes right in the airport) for instance. if you have a cc that covers the cdw charges (call them and ask about jamaica specifically) that is all you pay(23!!) i rented for a week from island for my upcoming trip . . . 317 u.s. including ins. straight out of the airport.
Adding onto what Saxa said, have your cc fax or email you a cert of insurance that includes JA. My world one once included them but now dropped them and asking for the cert was the only way I knew their policy changed.
Also, video your rental at time of pickup and not pick the living crap out of it. I found imperfections on every surface of mine and spending the time looking for them saved me when they spent 15-20 minutes upon my return inspecting the tyres and rims. Some of the damage was mine but f them for renting a car on an island that has so many potholes. Speaking of which, a Yaris and those JA potholes are like taking a pen knife to a gun fight.
If I pick up from island in Mobay , does anyone know if they charge to drop off at office in negril ?? If not that may be a option I'd like.
island does not have an office in negril, they might pick it up for you and charge you more than one day for that convenience, but i have to ask why would you need that option? to drop it at the airport only takes 20 or 30 minutes to cycle through. on the subject of yaris cars driving in jamaica, i have personally driven around the island from negril to bath in st. thomas parish maybe 5 times in a yaris and they are great cars. if you modify your driving a little and seek to straddle the holes in the road by watching for them diligently you will be fine. i never had a problem and i have driven the length of the island over 26 times in corollas or yaris. p.s. the "atlas choice" website i mentioned booked a yaris for 181 dollars for for 8 days including the g.c.t taxes on a feb. 4 to 12 trip i just recently completed. compare that to islands 317 per week.
