    Question Dentist in Negril

    Hi.

We have been in Montego Bay since Thursday and are moving to Negril tomorrow (Monday). I broke a piece of tooth today. It is not bothering me and I will not worry about it if it stays this way however if it starts to act up are there any dentists in Negril that board members have used? Should I consider Mo Bay in the morning before I move to Negril.

    Thanks for any info.

Dentist.... Dr. McLeggan, Kings Plaza, 876-957-9235, haven't used him personally, but other boardies have sworn by him. Probably a good idea to have it taken care of sooner than later, good luck!

    Uncle Johnny,

Mind if I ask what type of work you had done last year? Cost?

I'm thinking of having some work done on my next reach.

Okay to PM me if needed.

    Thanks,

    No worries VVHT,
I had two bridges replaced, one bridge repaired and a few fillings done. The cost was half of what the estimate was in Canada.
Two weeks, 3 appointments... 3,800 U.S$. I would advise getting an estimate done at home first. Contact Dr. Mac's office, tell them what you need, they'll give you prices for procedures over the phone. It's a very professional office the prices are the prices... If you decide to proceed, contact Dr. Mac by Email, lock down a cost and time required to complete. It's been a year for me with no problems at all. Just had a check up a few weeks ago and everything is good. All bridge work carries a 5 year guarantee. Smile Mon!

I have had two teeth repaired (one filling came out, and one broke - tetracycline weakened) by Dr. McLeggan. After a few months, one "re-broke" and he repaired it for no charge. I add my recommendations to this fine Doctor.

As with any Jamaican dentist, make sure you settle on a price before you get in the chair.

I kid, I kid! Sorry, couldn't help myself.

The prices are not negotiable. These are professionals who base the cost on the services required. Would you "settle" on the price with your dentist back home?

They will inform you of the cost before they set your appointment.
