Full Time RN Now on Staff at Coco La Palm

For those Coco fans who may be concerned about heath care in Negril...Just met Nicole, new full time 24/7 Registered Nurse at Coco....She stays on premise,has speed dial with competent emergency doctors who will respond to hotel,local private ambulance service who can take you to Mobay,...She also informed us full time public ambulance is back in service by fire station...She said she dealt with a guest having a heart attack middle of night a few weeks ago and the man made it... In that case ,he ended up going to Sav.

We love Negril and have been coming for years, but as we spend more time here each winter, 4 trips x 2 weeks each,and are getting older,both with heart histories, we have been thinking about maybe switching to Puerto Rico because of their better health care, but after meeting Nicole,we feel much more relaxed about worrying what if something happened in the middle of the night and no one responded after calling 119....Big up to Coco La Palm...

That's a great selling point for the hotel! When Beth http://j.mp/comfortsJA began offering nursing services within the last year it was a bright light for Negril and it's aging travelers......for a hotel to keep one 24/7 it's priceless. For you two, having the peace and comfort that Nicole is there 24/7 will lead to a calmer state of mind and maybe less stress for your hearts.

What a great move by CCLP. This will be my first visit to Negril and I picked CCLP to stay. I was a little worried about health care options but will feel more at ease knowing a nurse is available.

Hotels with 100 beds and over are required to have a nurse available on-site. I service all other hotels that have a need 24/7. My biggest customers are Rockhouse, Spa Retreat but have calls to area hotels on beach road/cliffs such as Banana Shout, Pure Garden, Country Country, SeaSplash, and many many more. I do sitting for elderly and children for day trips as well as evenings out. I carry supplies for basic nursing services ,have physicians that I can consult or call in if needed as well as multiple ambulance services numbers to serve the immediate need …sending you locally , across the island or abroad.
