Sunset on the Cliffs

Wondering if anyone has stayed at Sunset on the Cliffs lately? Reviews are mixed on TA.

Stayed there a few times. It was pretty good. Rooms are pretty basic, but outstanding views from the balconies. Showers were questionable, but they have one down near the water if need be. Best thing is your across the street from DeBar. Eddy has great Jerk Chicken and fish and a great Bar. Also Sips and Bites is around the corner along with the 3 Dives, both have outstanding food. And Rockhouse is close too. Great location to walk around either direction from the Hotel. I like the 500 block of rooms.

In late April 2013, we had reservations at Banana Shout for 2 nights before moving to the beach for 3 nights. We got to Banana Shout and were told they overbooked and they put us in Sunset on the Cliffs for a night (they claimed everyone else was booked). We had no interest in arguing and took the room at SOTC. Well, they must have put us in the worst room they had (I've read decent reviews of the place). For one, the shower head blew off and hit my fiance while he was showering! The only thing positive was the decent balcony view and the jumping platform into the water. We were too upset and tired after a day of traveling to argue about switching rooms so we just dealt with it for the night. In retrospect, we should have asked for a better room. mi go der on Sunday nights to the Pool Party dem have.......and have stayed der before it was taken over by the new management......
the view from any room are awesome......it's budget accommodations like most places in Negril........
great swimming and snorkeling off of there like anywhere on the Cliffs.......
how much time do you really spend in your room anyways....lol
during the Summer they have a sign out for $50US a night....
and mi know Jamaicans who have got rooms for as likkle as $35 a night during the Summer.....
