Blue mountain seems expensive. Is it worth it, asked by someone who never drank it.

It's great coffee. Worth $30/lb? Debatable. It is thought to be among the best in the world. It's expensive because of low supply and high demand from other markets, primarily the Chinese right now, used to be the Japanese. It's twice as expensive in the US.

I am some what of a coffee snob and it is my favorite! I will be picking up 10lbs on my next reach in two weeks. is it worth the cost? that is a matter of opinion. Be ware when buying it in Negril to check the expiration date and they will try to sell you 12oz bags and sell it as a lb

James Bond calls Blue Mountain the best coffee in the world. But he also likes his vodka martinis shaken not stirred. And being a fictional character, I would not totally rely on his judgement... (grin)

obviously jamaican coffee prices are out of control , and taxed heavily on top .. Yes I love my Jamaican coffee , but I didn't bother to bring any home this year. thought price was a joke... If you want good Jamaican coffee , and live in the US or Canada , buy it from gold star , a canadian roaster .. this is the real deal .

In February almost no Ja Blum anywhere..There are some new brands , Jamaica Blue< for one but it doesn't touch Ja Blum...The coffee market is screwed for good...37 bucks a lb at Hi Lo for unknown brands... Got some from Thunder but it is high mtn......it was worth it for the adventure of the visit...

At least Thunder's is fresh. What's he charging now? I think it was around $15 last year.
