question about travellers resort
hi-
sending down friends (mid 30's) for their 1st visit. they are travelling with 3 young kids and mother in law.
only spending 2 days in negril (at my demand.. haha) and spending the rest of their vacation in montego bay.
i've been to negril 7 times so know the area well and have stayed at several places of varying quality.
i recommended they stay at sandy haven however they ended up booking at travellers. i've never been to travellers so wondering if i could get some feedback.
i just don't want them to have a bad experience as i would love for them to love negril and travel with my wife and kids in the future.
i'm hoping travellers is more like a sandy haven type resort rather than more like a merrill's type resort...
thanks!

Re: question about travellers resort
Travellers has gotten really good reviews lately and all standard rooms have been renovated I think they will be pleased with their choice.

Re: question about travellers resort
Our last stay(April 2014) was at Travellers. It was our second stay there and we love it however from my understanding Sandy Haven is a boutique hotel while Travellers would be more comparable to a mid level hotel. The rooms are basic but very well kept, the poolo area is amazing and the kids will have a blast between there and the ocean. It does have a smaller beach front area but still lots of room for sand castles

Re: question about travellers resort
sorry hit the wrong button, wasn't done.
The restaurant is good with a great breakfast buffet and lunch and dinner were always good when we ate there. It is right next to Kenny's Chinese Restaurant (attached to Errol's sunset bar) which had some of the best Chinese we have had anywhere! The staff were very helpful anytime we needed anything. And if they are bringing kids there is a great program where you can purchase and decorate a brick, it gets added to a wall they have going and all the funds go to the Negril school system. A great way to spend an afternoon and give back to the great community we all enjoy. Hope this helps.
