If you can tell the difference between real and fake Cuban cigars, the answer is probably yes. Just remember, for right now, if you bring them back into the US, you have to remove the bands.

It's probably safe to assume that the Cuban cigars sold in the MoBay airport are legit. The shops on the Hip Strip? - who knows what you're getting.
The same is true for the shops in Negril. Plus the humidors may be of questionable quality.
georgelenard....just returned from negril last week & always bring Cuban cigars back...this year....5 boxes of Cohiba's...factory sealed from my cigar contact buddy in Negril...in my checked luggage for the 4th year, used to take the bands off as told & they write you a receipts for Jamaican cigars. I say huwee to that if customs whats to take them & charge me so be it ...they're looking for DRUGS..not cigars..of course on the customs card I claim nothing. My buddies who order them appreciate the real deal wooden sealed box..I don't even smoke them..not one.
Yesterday Linston picked up a visitor at the airport who had him drive to the Half Moon resort in Rose Hall before heading to Negril
He purchased some Cubans at the La Casa De Habano there. He said that he knew for fact that they were genuine.
