Manda sorry to hear about your dog. As for Andre just go get to Negril stay your first 2 nights if your happy there maybe stay till your final 2 nights are booked elsewhere. Just go and relax you will not be alone. As for Andre is there not a way to reach him? If not it is his loss. You will have a good time even if not making it to a webcast. You can always come another time. I wish you a happy trip, hope it all comes together for you.

you can do a LOT of eating at the RIU, so u can use that as motivation while trying to save money in the days before ..... Just hook up with a nice cabbie as a regular driver, and I guarantee he will look out for you. that would be my first move in Negril. Just ask him to follow you around on foot everywhere you go, tip him 10 bucks, and you're golden. He will protect you like his own daughter!
If any boardies are going to be there the same time as her, why don't you arrange to meet someplace neutral for a get together so that she can start with some people in a fairly safe way. Surely, some of you are gonna be around! I wish I was....If Andre has fallen out of the picture, it might be good you found out now that he is unreliable, but then again, he might have a perfectly good reason why he has been incommunicado...he might just be getting stuff ready for his visit!

I will definitely be at a webcast especially if I'm headed down on my own in fact with Andre it was on my list so no reason to change thatPlus Lisa and Rob have been so great (as well as everyone) but I think it might have been one of my first days on the board and Lisa offered me her number "just in case" you guys are the best! And I haven't even met you yet!

I went totally at the last minute and solo for my first trip years ago, and had so much fun! Please don't stress about it. You will be fine. And you totally don't have to be stranded at your hotel drinking by yourself at night! Catch a cab to any of a number of places depending on the night to meet people and have a great time. I love my solo trips. Always have adventures, met lots of friendly travelers and Jamaicans and got hooked on JA trips. It is no disaster, believe me. And maybe he will pop up, but you don't need him to have a good time when you are in Negril.

Never once did make Andre my priority and me his option. Andre is just a friend. That is it. I don't think it makes me less of a strong woman because I wanted to travel with someone who knew what they were doing. My priority has always been my trip my good time lol Not him. Just wanted to clarify
