    Traveling with infant

Looking for advise from people who've traveled to Negril with infants.

In particular, can anyone recommend an infant friendly place to stay and/or travel from MoBay that can accommodate a child seat?

    I appreciate any input!

There are many drivers that can accommodate you with a child seat, just check our Transport section. And the most "child-friendly" resort in my opinion is Crystal Waters. You can find out more about them in our Hotels section!

I traveled with my son when he was a baby and we stayed at Rayon. It was great for us. There was a crib in my room when I arrived, as he was the only kid there at the time he was a hit! Loved on by everyone. I brought his carseat with me as I didn't want to chance someone not having one. It was a bit of a struggled but I found a way and they just gate checked his carseat.

Bring enough pampers and things you know syour baby has to have (favorite toy, snacks, teething toys, binky, etc). I can say vacationing with a baby is different but still very much enjoyable. Oh and try to still stick to their regular schedule as much as possible. Will make things easier for you!

My wife and I will be heading to Negril in December with a 16 month old. There are some great videos online about flying with kids. Different ways to buckle a car seat on the airplane or how to use a harness if doing the lap seat. We opted to buy a seat to make the flight more enjoyable. One tip was to vacuum seal diapers. Our driver Kingsley Jame of Take Care Tours can do car seats. This is our first time flying with a child if anyone has more tips please let us know.

I didn't get my son a seat as luckily (totally by chance) I always had an empty seat next to me. When I travel with my son it's always just he and I so since its you and your wife you should be able to manage probably a little bit better than I did. My son was 17 months the last time he was in Jamaica. I can say his eating habits totally changed while we were there since he was out of his element. I went from a kid that would eat anything I put in front of him to the world's pickiest eater. Oatmeal, rice, some chicken, grapes, and fries were about all he ate while we were there. No matter what I tried to give him, he wouldn't eat. He is almost 5 this next trip and right now again, he is eating just about whatever I give him. I hope that doesn't change. I have oatmeal, frozen grapes and yogurt just in case LOL

Rob gave a great recommendation , Crystal Waters is great as with your villa ,comes a lady from 8 to 4 ,she cooks breakfast lunch and dinner ,and all the ladies LOVE babies , this property is not packed in it is very open and the owner loves it that way .My wife and I love it so much its our home away from home for 2 and a half months .My daughter brings her infant and 2 year old with no problems. This property does not have a bar or restraunt so there are no other people on the beach or property that don't stay there (a big plus)
