$130pp is insanity.
$130pp is insanity.
well maybe for you it is..I figure 17 bucks for the YS falls admission fee, 20 bucks for the black river Safari fee, 20 bucks for the appleton distillery fee, 15 bucks for lunch..that adds up to almost 75 bucks.. about 55 bucks for the driver / company he works for..since he was with us all day and a hoot to boot total of 130 thats not too bad in my book considering if you look online at the various companies they are wanting quit a bit more than that.

Sometimes it's better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.
Personally, I think your breakdown justifies the amount you paid. Not that you needed to justify yourself to anyone. I live in Accompong Town (which is only 15 minutes from Appleton Distillery) and good, "locals" price for a ride to Negril and return would cost me at least $100 US.
Sometimes when people have "friends" or take non-Red Plate taxis they get a lot lower price.
If a driver is expected to make a living then getting $110 US for taking two people all that way and using all that time when he could have been making money elsewhere would, in my book, classify as a "sane" choice by you.
Nuff Respect.
