crystal waters
Hi all,
Pondering (well, I'm TRYING to convince a couple of friends...) a villa at crystal waters.
What can you wonderful people tell us about them?
Looking at a 2 bedroom (2 couples).
Does each bedroom have its own bathroom?
How does the cook / housekeeper work? Who buys the food for cooking?
Any / all information greatly appreciated!
me soon com mon (hopefully!)

Re: crystal waters
My understanding is they will get the food for you, you pay for it. They will cook 3 meals a day, but dinner would be ready late afternoon as they have to leave, so you'd have to reheat it. Have never been able to find a room open when we want to come, but a friend of mine has stayed there many times and really likes it.

Re: crystal waters
We're looking at early december - hoping our chances are good for a booking.
What's the weather that time of year? Much rain?
Thanks!

Re: crystal waters
I've been there several times in early December since it's our anniversary. It's right after hurricane season, a little more humid than our last few trips in January. One time we caught the tail end of a storm. Nice thing is it's still off season at most places so rates are much cheaper. Many guests at CW come back every year and get first dibs, that's why it's hard to get a room. Many of the smaller places are similar. We've stayed at Nirvana numerous times, the cottages and some of the other rooms come with cook service for one meal a day, but you can pay more if you want them for other meals, I think $25 each. We usually stay in the Owner's Villa which is awesome, directly right on the beach with a full kitchen, great outdoor shower. When our kids (adults) come with us, we rent the adjoining garden room to make it a 2 BR, but they have to walk through the bathroom to get into the main part of the villa.

Re: crystal waters
Hi Tandj
I am a little biased when talking about CW as we have been going for 31 years. The same family owns it and live on property which is a big plus no matter what property you talk about. Each bedroom has a bathroom .A house lady comes in @ 8 am or when you unlock the kitchen door cooks breakfast lunch and dinner ,cleans house and heads home @ 4 ,yes dinner needs to be reheated but that never has been an issue for us .They have an on property store that has many basics .Anything else we make occasional trips to store. Their cooking is so good it's hard to go out for dinner ! Yes you buy the food and can have chat with housemaid about menu's . The beach location is prime and with no bar or restaurant on property it keeps it quite private . You should have no problem finding villa at that time of year. Even though housekeepers come with your room price we still leave a good tip as they depend on that! Villas are basic but clean. Hammocks and adirondac chairs on all verandas. We stay there for 2 and a half months and our villa is saved for us every year so yeah there are a lot of regular guests that have been coming for years . Hope this helps.
