I'd just say no thanks, as you did with the aloe and hair braiding. No reason to get all upset.

It's not like anyone grabbed her or followed her down the beach or anything. A woman made an offer of hair braiding, then aloe, then a man, from what was posted that was it. Her husband wasn't with her, she had to point him out in the water.

I personally wouldn't call that rude and wrong bad behavior. To me it deserves a no thanks, maybe a laugh, and that's that.

But like I said, that's just me.

If that was the case I suppose I'd be annoyed too. Probably wouldn't make a big deal about it- why ruin MY day over such a thing - but I understand where you are coming from there.

I've been propositioned a few times and most often it is no big deal, an inquiry as to my interest in having male company. I decline (sometimes I even thank them for asking!), and that's that.

No one gets upset or insulted

I imagine most men who get propositioned by prostitutes in their home cities don't take it as an insult either...why would they? It's an offer like any other...unless it is offered in a mean spirited way as you describe.

Ohliz, sadly that was the case and she knew it. It didnt ruin my day maybe only 10 minutes of it, I'm over it...I have nothing against prostitution and In my city there is a designated place for it, ...we call it the "stroll" men and woman that are interested in paying for sex go there and pick out what they want.
I go to Negril beach so I can swim and tan and have fun with my friends and family.

Manda, when you are approached just be yourself...trust your gut instinct and feel your vibe, I know right away man or woman if we click, and you seem very intuitive so you will be fine. If someone is giving off a bad vibe, just say "mi good mon"

I understand about the attitude. That's no fun at all. One guy who hung around Rick's last trip was so rude whenever I passed...it annoyed him that I wasn't shopping. I'd walk by several times a day, saying hi to everyone including him. He would just yell out how I was stuck up, racist, you name it, so after a day I didn't greet him anymore as I did his neighbor vendors. When I was ready to shop the day I was leaving Negril you know I gave all the other vendors some business but not him. We never had a confrontation, though, he was yelling at the breeze behind my back

I think of Negril Beach as "the stroll" of Negril...problem is, it is so much more than that and many folks don't want or expect "the stroll" to come to them there...but many do!
