An Observation
Jamaican food-stuffs are GREAT for the digestive tract.
No stool softeners required ::::: which to old-folks like me, is BIG-deal.

Two Things I'd *Forgotten* about Jamaica

1...the stars in the sky ACTUALLY twinkle twinkle twinkle

2...the rattle-rattle thump-ity thump thump sound that mangos make as they fall from tree, thru the leaves & branches, and hit the ground.

this trip,
i've not been in-character
and watching funds and the exchange rate

at least, not-watching and calculating as i usually/normally do

there's something((???)) funny about the current rate and the prices of things
...i can't put my finger on it..

yesterday,
while waiting in line to check-out,
a lady & likkle boy-pickney
were ahead of me.

the mom looked stressed
.....her funds were low
.......she was pondering what items to put-back (i.e., not purchase)

the likkle boy
reached in his pocket
and pulled out a US$1.00 bill

his mom asked him":::>>> how much is that worth...???
likkle boy, 'bout 10 years old say:::>>> Jamaican $117
