    Guitar Strings?? What type??

Thinking of bringing guitar strings for some of the musicians we may encounter. I'm not a musician, but would appreciate any input regarding what type of guitar strings to bring down?

    Thanks,

There are 2 main types. Electric or Acoustic. Acoustic is composed of steel or nylon.

If you are thinking of the beach musicians, most had steel Acoustic, medium gauge. Some had nylon.

Brand won't matter that much, except for the finicky.

    Those Martins would be fine.

This is a great idea, some of the beach musicians clearly needed a new set.

It would improve their sound and subsequently get them bigger tips.

I've been bringing strings to the musicians on Bloody Bay for the last few years. They seemed to favor medium gauge but I take some light gauge also for guitarists who like light ones. Everyone has been very appreciative since strings seem to be hard to come by in Negril
