NYE in Negril

Good day, we are now approaching our 10th trip to Negril, but usually go end of April. Right when low season tappers off. We were there this past April and now are going back for NYE. I've never been during high season. Could anyone tell me what it's like in Negril for NYE? Is the beach the best place to be on NYE? I know it's many months out but that's what keeps me going! I am a repeat visitor to Negril since 1990 and many trips. All of my trips have been in the low season until 18 months ago we did a 5 day trip over New Years. On that trip we stayed
on the cliffs as it was a last minute trip and most places were booked. We did explore the beach a bit and I was amazed at how many people were at the various resorts. Also there seemed to be more entertainment at that time of year. We leave in the morning for a 6 nite stay on the beach. We also are hoping to visit again over New Years and I plan too visit a couple of properties to decide where we will be staying,and I think we prefer the beach for New Years. The travel sites are already showing very limited availability.

I was on the beach on New Years Eve last year.....one love bus crawl ,met some sweet boardies, then fireworks of all kinds at Alfreds..... the beach is where the fun is at on New Years!!!

NYE in Negril is amazing! The beach is the best place to be on NYE.......it is lit up with bon fires and the sky is lit up with Chinese lanterns and fireworks. It's also probably one of the safest nights to walk the beach to club/bar hop.
