Temporary Resident (visitor)Visa to Canada - Application process??

I am trying to find as much information as possible to help a friend apply for a two week visa to Canada. He has never traveled out of Jamaica before, has family there, has work and owns a vehicle. Any information on what to include in the application, the invitation letter, etc... would be helpful and also stories of others attempts to apply for a visa for a friend.

Are you talking Temporary Resident or Visitor? They're 2 different things. I would suggest checking the Canada Border Services Agency website for requirements. I have no personal experience, but I have heard that one needs a letter of invitation, proof of return to JA, etc. I think the CBSA website, or a call to them, is your best starting point.
