Ha! Try arriving in Kingston at 5pm in a new rental car. Every car seems to have had some degree of fender bender(s). Stressed from a long, circuitous route from Mandeville, I peeled off a roundabout and found myself going the wrong way down a one way street. I manage to avoid disaster and got off the street. A Jamaican popped his head into my window and asked, "Mon, where you goin'?" I told him what hotel we were trying to reach and I got the most clear and concise directions ever in Jamaica. true, kingston is really daunting especially in rush hour . . . one time i got lost, asked a cabbie to lead the way with me following to where i was going and bam! got there fast fast! paid his fare and a tip and was good to go . . .
