I too inquired (for a couple of years) about the name - was always met with a shrug but a smile that let me know there was something behind the name. Finally got the explanation - those curious can toss out this response and see if it's verified = the bread is so named because of the resemblance to a certain part of the female anatomy. It was when I heard this that I also realized the meaning behind the (rude/crude) comments from older Jamaican men along the lines of "Mi wan dig out yuh coco" - at the time, all I could think of was "I don't have a farm, what are you talking about?" Sometimes it just takes a while to pull the whole picture together.
