I had declared them on the form.

So when can we start talking about where in Negril to get the best smoke?
Stop it HarryS. We don't need to discuss anything of the sort on this board. Make your own way.
I was joking, and I understand the possible legal repercussions for selling ganja in Jamaica and am not trying to get anyone in trouble - but want to point out that it is perfectly ok for us to talk about who has the cheapest red stripes, the best two for one rum punch special, the best jerk chicken, and one day (sooner than later in my opinion) the ganja will be just as legal as those other things and there will be no reason not to discuss it.
It would be a huge revenue stream for Negril and all of Jamaica if it could be sold similar to how it is done in Amsterdam.
Sheer availability/afffordability comes into play somewhat there, Smith. In the US, at least in some parts, ganja isn't or until recently hasn't been...widely available, and when it is, smoking a huge joint all to yourself is oftentimes overkill, expensive and unnecessary. Considering true US quality high grade can creep up to 400 US Dollars an oz, people like to be a bit conservative in their use. When you can buy a QP or more for $40US, the quality will be less than that found in the US typically, but sheer abundance makes rolling a joint the size of a baby's leg a lot more fun, and you don't feel nearly so inclined to share, when there's plenty for anyone else present to roll their own if they feel like partaking. At least, thats MY take on things....
I was told by a jamaican years ago.......1 man 1 joint!
Smith, Troublemaker_420 nailed it. I rarely even smoke spliffs at home because most of it goes up in smoke. In Jamaica there's no need to conserve. And if you think $40 was a lot. I had friend pay $100 about oz in St Ann's. This was even after I had told him what the going rates were. I'm still laughing at that one too.

your-friend
could have hooped into a route-taxi to Sheffield
or some some-place just outside Negril,
and walked up to almost any likkle roadside shop
and
purchase nuff stuff for a couple spliffs
@ US 50-cents
* sigh *
DO your *research*/homework, friends
* sigh *
be hapPpy
I find no problem with some one paying 100.
The buyer probably felt like he got a great deal as they're paying 150 a quarter oz up North.
As long as the visitor went home happy....so what?
They didn't spend your money!
