It is great to hear that this attraction is once again going to be open! For the past 5 years, there were no real "rules" about pricing or safety (no lights) so it will be wonderful to visit this the cave again!
Here is a BLAST from the past in the cave - Negril Today January 1997

Negril.com - For the vacation that never ends!
I'd say it's worth the trip to check it out once. It was very abandoned and kind of run down when I was there last Feb so it's great to hear they are fixing it up!!

Went there last June, we had a blast. I think it was last year. seems like forever since we haven't been back. its worth the country ride. But.. IMO, I don't like being around a lot of tourist anyway. Local style here for me. We will go back in a heart beat! We went down the road by the cave tour and played in the swift cold current. Sharp rocks in da river.

One of our best first memories of being in Jamaica was going to Roaring River. We talked about that day for years. We went back a few years later and it just seemed different. We went up there last year not realizing it was officially closed. We looked around a little. There was clearly money being spent to make it very nice.
In Loving Memory of William 'Bunny Rugs' Clarke, Lead Singer of Third World:
"There's a land not so far away/Where the sun keep shinning all through the day/And this land that we all love/God gave us the wood and the water/Blessed by the moon and stars above/Sweet, sweet Jamaica/Beautiful Jamaica/Everyday feels like a holiday/Sweet reggae music playing/From Negril to Morant Bay/Sweet, sweet Jamaica/Oh Jamaica/Irie, irie, irie Jamaica/Sweet Jamaica our land we love"
Jamaica......."the land of wood and water"
So many things to experience ....... so close to Negril
Some not so close LOL

It is a very different experience than Long Bay in Negril. If you are looking for a day ride into the country, cooling off in a mountain river, and experiencing small village life, then it is worth the adventure. Recently, I posted some photos from my last visit to the Roaring River in May,
