Do you mean the Ca$hPot/Photo place at the bottom of Westland Mountain Road?

MoFromMonroe - I love to walk the beach, so a walk down to the bourbon beach cambio is nice for me. Yes... bring some flip flops for the parkinglot... it is rough on bare feet when cutting through bourbon beach. I carry my trav checks and my drivers license on the walk. I usually then take a taxi back just cause I am too hot to walk back If I was changing a lot of money I would prob taxi back too just to be safe. But if I change a small amount, I feel safe walking back.

I do agree with accompong... I do try to tie in a trip to the cambio with other activities, since I have walked all that way. Sometimes stop for lunch on the way back or stop at Shamrock for some groceries on the walk back.

If I remember correctly I think that cambio is called Trends Time Financials??? Or something like that. I am not sure of their hours. I usually go on a week day around 11am and they have always been open.

Not sure what place is called, once there you go up some steps inside and to a window on the right, if you look at the map link easy rock is the red roofed building top left the cambio is in the row of grey roofed buildings across the road next to the tree

I have to agree with this except that if you want to go to the HiLo then use their Cambio. It's right inside the doors as you walk in and their rate is usually better than the others. Remember to take your passport (no matter which Cambio you use) though since they need ID and it's the best one.

I never take my passport to the cambio... I leave it in the safe. But I have never had a problem using my drivers license as ID at the cambios.

A couple of corrections...1.5 KM is less than one mile. It is Time Trends cambio next to Bourbon Beach.

We like this cambio because it is less busy. We can go in, change the money, and get it all sorted into pockets without anyone seeing how much we exchanged. Downtown, everyone sees your business. Hi-lo is also not as private. This cambio has an electronic door so it may look like it is closed. If you don't hear the door buzz there is a button for a buzzer you can press.

I used one of those calculators online and it said something like 1.5 Km equals .9 miles so I figured 2miles round trip. Not a bad walk. I like the idea that nobody sees your business so we will definitely keep this one in mind.

Last time i used HiLo (march 2010) they had separate little cubicle for the cambio and nobody could see what you were doing,
