Mirage

I understand that the Mirage hotel has undergone some improvements over the last year. Has anybody been there in person and can comment on the changes. I have heard that they added one suite and updated the other rooms. Nadine has said that new pictures will posted soon, but there is nothing out there as of yet.

Personally, I thought Mirage was pretty great before the renovations. The rooms were among the best we have stayed in, in Negril. It will be interesting to see what changes have taken place.

For those who may be interested - Nadine posted on the Mirage facebook page that the hotel will be closed for most of October while a new breakfast room is constructed. The old breakfast room was basically a wooden shed that housed the continental breakfast buffet. Guests would grab their food and coffee and then find a seat somewhere around the property (which was limited). Based on a picture that was posted on FB, the new stone breakfast room is larger and appears to have a more formal dining area. In the past, we would take our breakfast back to our balcony to eat, but this new arrangement may encourage us to hang around a little longer.

Looking forward to seeing the other improvements in person, this winter.
