    I don't want to contradict you Jojo - everyone's comfort level is different regarding personal safety. I feel differently about what constitutes personal safety. To me, you're safe, until that moment you aren't. Which can happen anywhere. So here at home, I carry a very loud whistle. (No spray or personal alarm.) I do the same in Negril. It's different in Negril than when I first started going, just like it's different where I live. Something as easy to carry as a whistle, for me, is a smart thing to do.
