    New Royalton

Pictures are being posted of the construction that is starting for the new Royalton. Did the 4 story request finally get approved?

Barb...here's the Negril.com thread from last April about the changes.

You're allowed a maximum of four stories and they've now legally defined the height to not exceed 50 metres.

Thats crazy. That's roughly a 15 story bldg in the states.

Bnewb, do you mean 50 feet? That would put us back in the 4 story ballpark.

The article actually says 50 metres, must be a mistake...

"Development Order, which will now permit a maximum of four storeys for buildings, not exceeding a height of 50 metres,” Pickersgill said during his presentation. “However, the setback at the high water mark remains at 46 metres (150 feet), except under exceptional circumstances.”

Anyone ever see a 41.25 foot one story building?

Maybe a normal four story with a 100' tower?

    Who writes these regs?
