Trip report - day 1

First impression- wow! The hills/mountains and how green everything is! Love it!

Already blew my day 1 plans out of the water. Picked up a digicel sim for an old iPhone and when I tried to call back to the states was some old sounding guy's voicemail with a strong patois. Put on my Teva sandals and walked bac to the store. Bad idea! Blisters... Rubbed the skin off the outside of my pinkie toe and have a blister about the size of a quarter on the ball of my foot. As I'm limping back to my hotel, I spy Quality's Sea Breeze Restaurant; this was on my list so made a decision to eat there.

Wow, Quality is an artist and seafood is his medium. I asked for some Mahi Mahi in a garlic sauce. Made it up in the fly and I was not disappointed! I think I'm going to go back and try his grilled lobster.

I have yet to dip my toes or any part of me in the sea; I mean to rectify this asap!

Hope to see some of you at Drifter's later this afternoon.

Awesome day one update!
The "delicious" pic doesn't load but can imagine the goodness....... and the aroma and taste........ mmmmm Jamaican food......

Oh- don't ignore the blister- broken skin can get ugly fast in a warm climate like JA!

Drifters on a Sunday Afternoon........ Sigh...... drink a Rum Punch for those of us trying to stay warm up north lol.

Awesome, was supposed to be on the rock this week myself. Had to push back to Jan. due to family issues. Are you solo Moose? I may be pulling a solo myself on the next trip.
