Having a local phone is a nice convenience. I use it mostly to call drivers as well as stay in touch when friends are in town. You can always turn it off if you need to completely disconnect.

Thanks booger! I don't have a set of preferred drivers yet, don't usually go further than I can walk yet, but would like to get up on the cliffs for the sunset/evenings a bit this time... Thinking for less than $50 I can get a phone and have more than enough credit for a week, so perhaps, why not!

Also, anyone know any contacts at a local school for a visit? I'd love to tour and participate in a classroom for an hour or two on Thursday! I teach fifth grade so something elementary would be awesome. I'd love to help support a small group of students or get involved in a lesson/activity. I think there are a few avenues I can peruse but I thought I'd ask here first! Thanks!
