I'm guessing the D&G brand. They have it at Wegman's -- at least the one in Alexandria, VA. They have Ting, too!
I have had Goya brand in the States, but it is so strong it will burn the hair out of your nose! Saranac is real smooth, almost too smooth for my taste. I'll have to look for D&G at our local Wegman's.
Regards,
Bob
If you have World Market near by they carry a few kinds of ginger beer.
The Jamaican take-out restaurants by me carry D&G Ginger Beer. Different bottle, but it tastes the same as the stuff we get on the island.
I've read the label and I believe it says that its made in Kingston, and imported by a company in Brooklyn, NY.
Now, if I could just get some Ting in the Philly area, I'd be happy.
Reed's makes a variety of great Ginger products including Beer, chews, and ice cream. The Extra Ginger Beer is kick ass. http://reedsinc.com/
We're all in this together and none of us is getting out alive.
I've found Ting in our local Specs.....I bet they would carry Ginger Beer as well (but I dont know if you have Specs in your neck of the woods)
Stir IT UP
"Old Jamaican Ginger Beer" is the brand I see most in Negril. You can find ginger beer in the health food section at the grocery store sometimes though I haven't found this brand. I have seen other brands in the liquor stores/mixer shops as well. I haven't looked but I hear it can be found at some of the World Market type grocery stores. Oh, and "G's Jamaican Cusine" here in KC has it!

In DC, MD and VA, I can buy lots of D&G Sodas at Giant Foods. Most of the Giant grocery stores have an international aisle and that's where you will find it. Also, I would assume most larger cities would have an international grocery store and you should be able to find D&G and other Jamaican products.
Even though it's D&G, it still taste very different then the ones you get in Jamaica. I think it has to do where it's bottled.
