My favorite seafood dish in Jamaica was the jerk lionfish served at Little Ochie in Alligator Pond. I don't expect to find some that good but can anyone recommend a good place for lionfish in the beach area? (I know about Canoe on the Cliffs).

You might try asking Quality @ Sea Breeze Restaurant right across from Canoe too; maybe depending on the day, but if he has any, I'm sure it would be delicious.

~Just my two cents worth - I mostly only comment on places I've seen and or eaten at personally.
Try Coconut International and Cosmos.
I was in Negril in June and couldn't find Lionfish at any restaurant. Couple of fisherman say Jamaican's Ate Dem Away!!!!
Well that would be great news since we are their only predator. In some areas in Jamaica the locals are afraid to even try them. I think they are closest to large sea scallops in flavor and texture and those go for $20/lb back home. Strikey T's, a great restaurant in Billy's Bay, cooked them in coconut milk, peppers and onions and you'd have thought you died and went to heaven. For anyone that hasn't tried them, they are very mild, sweet and buttery tasting. Thanks to Jaherring for the tips, I'll check them out.
Cosmos' definitely had it on the menu a few days ago. Enjoy!
