Your list looks good but it's missing De Bar! http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/De-...62510677094117
Go for dinner, they have a fire going usually which is cool. I always go back and watch/learn while the food is being prepared. Great vibe

Katho, gotta agree with you about De bar! Good eats and really fine folks. Don't you just love the fact that so many places welcome you in their kitchen?? I love to cook, so I always ask if I can come watch...almost everyone has been quite happy to have ya come on back and watch and learn. Gotta love it!!!

I've learned so much by asking or watching...from ackee, to cornmeal porridge, to festival and the list goes on.

ha ha, i mentioned debars in page 2 -- what does a guy have to do, get 30,000 views to get noticed???? Debars is super spicy though -- it will make your eyes tear, but you still keep coming back for more!

Ivans and LTU were my favorites. We stayed at catcha and just smelling the food cooking around sunset will make your mouth water! Also right across the street from Catcha is Leroys place.....stop in and let 'ol Leroy fix you some real Jamaican vittles....Hes a good man and would appreciate your business!

Sweet Daisy - sooo many great placed to try on West End. And you picked one of my favorite topics (lol). First advice is most "cook to order" so it may take a while because they cook fresh from scratch but its worth it so relax and have a cold drink or two and the food will "soon come".

Ivan's at Catcha is by far the best food I have had in Negril so please treat yourselves to a few meals there (recommend the pumkin snappa entree and coconut shrimp appetizer) - Meals run around $12US-ish but everything on the menu is SUPERB!!!

You gotta full menu of deliciousness at SEA STAR so I say work your way thru the whole thing while you are there@@@. Cannot wait to try their Peirogies and Burger. ANd the Sat night buffet is DELISH.

I also HIGHLY recommend the place called Eddies DE BAR. Same family of great chefs that run 3 Dives. De Bar is one of my favorite places to hang out and the food is OUT of this world.

Jenny's is my fav place for breakfast (very good prices) - french toast, fruit plate and JA coffee around $7US.

    • Jus Natural is the most beautiful outdoor garden with natural choices like juices, etc. - must try if you have time.
    • LTU (Pumpkin soup...mmm) - $$
    • Sips and Bites - very reasonable traditional JA food
    • Canoe - must try this place it has the only little West End "beach" yep beach and great food and chill decor - Snappa Sandwich and Pesto Tuna Salad are amazing as are their fries.
    • Chicken lavish - great JA dishes and always consistently good. Big up to Doc and Ian. Sweet/Sour chicken is a favorite of mine.

So excited for you guys to stay at Catcha - my favorite place. Magic there you will see. Bless your reach - can't wait for your report and pics. Savor every moment! More love

I’ll only be in Negril for six nights. So I probably will only be able to hit the top five places on my list…

And of course we’ll be having the Saturday night Buffet at Seastar and breakfast there the next morning. So I’ll be covered food-wise while staying there. Yum!!

Katho, That dish from DeBar looks delicious. What is he cooking? I want some!

Does anyone else have food pictures?

I’d love to get a visual of the pumpkin soup, or chicken lola, Pepper shrimp, lobster.. I wonder what a dish at Ivans like – those coconut shrimp.. mmmm. 28 days to go! Can’t wait!

Thank you everyone for your help!!
