I may have booked hotel too late to get into Fun Holiday in Feb. We like the area of the beach and need ideas of where to stay around there. I know Rooms is usually full by now and I don't want to stay at Roots. Other suggestions??

White Sands. I couldn't recommend more highly. House keeping is wonderful, as well as the grounds keepers and the entire staff. I would go back tomorrow and stay there a month, if I could. No TV... but great internet (you can stream Netflix) so take a laptop if that's important to you.
Prices start at $78 in the winter and $57 in the off season.
Check out airbnb.com I found plenty of rooms at all prices for February
