Ok well I'm SUPER excited as I THINK I have just today decided to make a trip down for the Holidays..New Years included.

Ok, so now that I've got that off my chest....the best New Years Eve I have ever had to date was spent in Negril. Me and a friend of mine brought down plastic champagne flutes and those silly glasses you wear with the year on them...it was a hoot...everyone was wearing them. We were able to pick up some champagne at Hi Lo. We started the night off at Mama Flo's on the beach because it is right up from Alfreds and we were able to catch some small fireworks...there were tons of people just walking up and down the beach. So we just hung out there for a few hours with our champagne and music. After midnight we moved the party down to Bourbon Beach for a bit...didn't stay too long because the Jungle was calling. After lots of dancing and sweating and more drinking we headed back to the hotel just as the sun was coming up. Whew..what a night!

The JoeT clan will be there for NYE as well. It was nice last year watching all the chinese lanterns floating in the sky, and the bonfires on the beach.

I wonder if Fun Holiday will be having anything.... would love to be on the beach for New Years. I think I am going to email a few places and see if they have anything in the works... and post it here as I get the information. Pool.. I like the way you roll.. can see myself NYE hopping too.. just to see whats out there. This is going to be off the hook.

Some places are tickets only though.Look forward to seeing the responses of who is doing what.Ask travellers too! as it seems they usually do something going from old flyers.

Can you walk up and down the beach on NYE to party hop? If there are bonfires along the beach I'm assuming its safe to travel that night.

The beach was crowded 2 years ago -- it felt like one big party. Great fun. It was a full moon that night and it was magical. And yes - party hopping is the way to go. A drink here, a drink there, walk a bit, sit a bit.
I look forward to the lanterns again this year. You can see them anywhere from the beach.

Ehhhhh....well I think Hidden Paradise. I was really hoping something would open up at FH since it seems like it would be more lively, but I'm starting to get worried that if I don't grab something now there will be nothing left!

The beach is usually pretty crowded on NYE. It really is fun because you can just walk around and mingle...stop here and there. Unless something really special is going on (like a concert) then I will most likely end up at Jungle sometime after 1am....road signs should start popping up a few weeks before advertising the different parties....Woohoo!
