Hi beachgirl66
Me and the wife will be down there at New Years, staying at ROOMS we were wondering the same things like were to go ? . What to bring if anything , do the hotels do something special or just make your own party ?

I do think there are parties at some of the resorts.. like Sea Star... I think I"ve heard Alfreds too.. I don't know much about them though. Hopefully we will see each other in JA

Will be there for NY eve also and was thinking of going to Alfred's??.... have spent the last 3 NY eves on the beach in Negril and only one, the last one had no fireworks...so was thinking that atleast Alfred's will have a good atmosphere and maybe a band or something, just in case no fireworks again....really want to be on the beach although do like SeaStar a lot....but still heading for the beach for NY's eve. Would be interested in what others are planning??!!

Happily, can say will be there for Christmas and New Years. One of my absolute favorite times of the year to be in Negril. Christmas eve, not sure where ....but NYE, definitely Seastar. Have been there before for their party and it is a ball. Plus, in town, the traffic is crazy!! Getting too old to deal with all the confusion. After the NYE party, a friend from long time, has some Jamaican friends that are having a bashment that, typically, starts late. Apparently, also in the West End....so, probably head there with our friend and check it out. Last year, missed it and of course, he raved of what a great time he had!! So, gotta go this year!! Should be interesting!! Can't wait till, we reach...getting there on the 14th, so should have time to relax and be ready to be on Jamaican time. So much fun to be had...as well as some of the best food on earth. Sorrel, Christmas cake, family gatherings...the best, yardie style is perfection!! One of our dear friends from over 12 years ago...always invites us to his family Christmas bashment...typically held, not on Christmas, but the first weekend after Christmas. It is in Lances Bay...and is off the hook good !!!! More food than the law allows and some of the best folks that I have ever known. Count down is definitely ON!!!!!

Hi Tic
Thanks for the invite about the pool party the day before but prob won't be there. Enjoy the beach too much! Might see you all at some of the casts though!! Still figuring out what to do for NYE but again leaning towards Alfreds....although now that Pool has mentioned The Jungle...didn't know they would have something...might have to stop there!!
