Went to sleep to the sound of tree frogs and awoke to the sound of songbirds, and roosters. Negril is just beautiful. Had a fantastic time at Sun Beach after our free shuttle from wonderful Seastar Inn. Enjoyed the warm warm water; waves a little bigger than normal today but nice. Walk from Sun Beach on the new sidewalk which is a terrific benefit to everyone, except maybe taxi men who can't get as closed to you as before. The walkway must be helping the businesses and vendors on the morass side. Stopped at Hammonds for a snack-two beef patties and a box drink 340 dollars- then d a small shop at Value Master. Negotiated a 600 dollar taxi back to Seastar. Life in Negril is good.[ATTACH=CONFIG]43233[/ATTACH
Some -excitement on the Beach Road this afternoon. Police on scene after two bike were involved in a crash. Dozens of spectators blocking sidewalk. Saw a crunched bike in the middle of the road. Lots of cops etc. and a traffic backup in both directions. One 'brilliant' guy drove his car right on the sidewalk to cut around some stopped traffic. Hope he got stopped.
Love Hammond's patties. The way these guys ride their bikes in an out and around traffic, I'm surprised that there are not more accidents. I have often thought that Jamaicans are laid back until they get behind the wheel of a car (or bike). Then some become maniacs on the road or sidewalk
