Im looking at possibly booking Xtabi for a few nights in May. According to website 2,3,and 6 seaside cottages have a/c. Would love some feedback on which of those offer the best view and privacy? Or any pros or cons on them. Oh...and do the windows have screens? Trying to decide on trying something new and going to Xtabi or booking one of the lesser $ rooms at Catcha .. which i know and love.

6 is the best of those, great view and the best spots to get in the water are directly below there. 2 and 3 are on the other side of the restaurant and are also really nice. 2 is the one we stayed in and probably has the least view, somewhat obscured by a couple trees. We walked down the steps and watched the sunset from there. 2 did not have a/c this time last year but I read that they added it in some since last year. You don't need it this time of year. 2 has a cool outdoor shower, I think the others do too. You can't go wrong with any of them but if I was picking it would be 6, then 3, then 2.
Thanks Kent! Thats the type of info I was looking for. And I agree...this time of year a/c isn't needed . We usually go in December and never even turn ac on. But the couple times we went in May or June it was nice to have!
How do you pick a specific cottage
If you book directly you can request then or if you book on a travel site then call the hotel directly and ask which ones they have available and make your choice then. I don't think you can get cottage 1 or 4 unless you book directly because they charge more for those two since they are larger and the best view.Originally Posted by 541lion
