Biggs is actually just before you get to Kenny's Italian Cafe. It's not as far as Time Square. Excellent chicken. Had it 5 or 6 times last trip.

What constitutes an "illegal" vendor may I ask?

An "illegal vendor" would be someone that does not have a 'trade license' and in the case of anyone that handles food, does not have a 'food handlers permit'.

The government closed the entire Boston Jerk Center in Portland for health violations. http://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/n...lth-violations

Yeah I definitely got some kind of bug while eating there! Some of the sharpest stomach pains of my life!! Hopefully if it does open its actually improved... I wasn't empresses with the food when I went either.. Had wayyyyy better jerk in Belmont and also a pretty popular spot in PA proper.. Can't remember the name but it's kinda right at the beginning of the downtown area if headed north... Holy moly they are good

Some daring vendors out last night ....fewer though. The announcements via car loudspeaker has stopped....we dont know if/when they will persue this again. It is REAL.....if they are doing business, they want the to be registered/pay taxes....more to come!

In this article, deputy superintendent David White said "vendors will be allowed to remain on the streets until February 1 when work on a designated area is completed."

So, if you get a food vendor permit or a selling crafts/crap permit you can be a beach/street vendor? If so cool....it would be cooler if they all had to wear badges with numbers so tourist could complain about the bad minds who harass. Food safety is a neat concept even though I've never heard of anyone getting sick in JA unlike here at home.
