Yes, of course the Jamaican new agencies "ran" this story just as we "ran" this thread that covers the story. The original post is there for all to see and click on the link. But that has nothing to do about the post I made asking people not to speculate.
None of the news services speculated on which property was involved. None. They stated the facts and did not begin or allow speculation as to which property the Chamber was complaining about with "sand mining". News agencies know that speculation of this kind can harm innocent parties and it serves no practical purpose at all. This is not odd behaviour, but responsible behaviour.
The posts removed were speculating on which property was involved, and the speculation/guess made in the posts were incorrect, which can do nothing but harm the innocent property falsely being named.
