That Sunday is the donkey races. I've planned a very cool Jamaican buffet at SeaSplash for that night for our group of 15+ people. They will be opening this menu up to the public. You might want to check that out When I find out more details on menu and price, I'll post it. We're also planning a bonfire, sky lanterns, and potentially live music. Throwing this out there, as the more the merrier!

Valentine's Day is our anniversary- we'd been very happy with Kuyaba for that occasion.

    congrats, same here!

1 year we tried for the tree table on V-Day but the wait was too much that night, we thought we had reserved it the night before but were told upon arrival it didn't happen, oh well, no problem, still had great lobster thermidore

The food at SeaSplash is very good. Last year when we were there they put on a Jamaican buffet for a wedding party, and they surprised us by bringing plates of food to sample to our room. It was really great, and that was what gave me the idea of asking for a repeat for our guests (all newbies) coming this year. It will give them a chance to try a bunch of different Jamaican specialties at the beginning of their trip so they will know what they want to try again during the week!

The buffet entrees included Mannish water with finger dumplings, BBQ chicken, Jerk pork, and a wonderful whole stuffed fish. Plus all the trimmings and dessert. I'm also hoping that while we are there they will fill their dessert case with some wonderful offerings - they used to always have it full, but in recent years the baker who used to come every week hasn't been with them. Maybe he can make a repeat showing!
