Hardest and Longest Day at Work

Why or Why is the last day before vacation always the longest and hardest day to get through at work . Today is my last day before vacation starts. We don't leave for Negril until Sunday but I say my vacation starts the second I leave work and don't have to return for 2 weeks .

Relax! it's just the vacation gods way of making you appreciate your holiday that much more. Soon you will be floating in the crystal blue Caribbean Sea while sipping on a cool drink with not a care in the world.

We fly out at 730 pm and I work a full day that day, it will be the longest 8 hours of my entire life!

I find it's because everyone is saying to me "Oh, yeah, before you go on vacation I need you to do one thing for me..."

I have learned to schedule an extra day off before I go, just so I can cancel it and actually come in to work to do all those extra last-minute requests. So if I'm leaving Friday AM, I book Thursday off, then actually work Thursday to do all the stuff that came in Wed. and it's not crazy.

Halfway tree I like that thinking!! Seriously though I can't think about the day before.. Right now is hard enough! Iam always thinking about the trip.. It's pretty agonizing... At work Iam basically only physically there while I put my brain on auto pilot so that my thoughts can be in Jamaica

I usually take the day before off also as that is my packing, nails, hair etc.. day. I also like to come home on a Saturday or have a day off after if possible to do wash and clean house (after kids home for a week alone LOL).
