Only Jah food I eat here in foreign is Grace pepper sauce which is available in all our Canadian supermarkets. You right about the frozen patties sold here in foreign and I've tried all available types sold in Niagara Falls. Not so good. Crust not flaky, not soft, not nice.

In 2013 we were still building the apartment .

Linston, Ian (Linston's half brother) and I were sitting, smoking and chatting.

This is Linston describing eating canned Ackee when he lived in the States.

BTW. I have permission to post this candid video.

    Re: Ackee!

We have a surprisingly good Jamaican restaurant close by us in Michigan. The owner/chef is from Negril, and honestly, he makes the best damn curried chicken with steam veg that I've ever eaten, and his rice n peas are right up there too. The jerk isn't nearly the same, but it's pretty good in its own way. Can't really jerk chicken properly indoors. The only thing I won't order there is the fish, because it's all frozen.

Thought I'd post a couple of pictures I took today in the "foreign foods" section of the local Publix grocery store in Marathon, Florida. They have a much larger selection of Jamaican foods than I can find at home in Homosassa FL. Name: image.jpg

Why would it post sideways? It's a vertical shot. Hmm... Sorry about that, but look at the variety!
